Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu, “Jobless Reincarnation: I Will Seriously Try If I Go to Another World”), abbreviated as Mushoku Tensei (無職転生), is a Japanese light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote with illustrations by Shirotaka. The series originally started as a web-based novel series on November 22, 2012. Uploaded by the author on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro; following its success on the site’s popularity it was acquired by Kadokawa within the following year under their publishing house Media Factory, and officially began its publication as a light novel series on January 23, 2014.
Mushoku Tensei is about an unnamed 34-year-old Japanese NEET evicted from his home following his parents’ death. Upon some self-introspection, he concludes that his life was ultimately pointless. Walking down a street he intercepts a speeding truck heading towards a group of teenagers, in an attempt to do something meaningful for once in his life he manages to pull one of them out of harm’s way before getting himself in the way of the truck and dying. He was regretting his life and wanted to fix it before he died. And then something happened. He was awakening in a baby’s body, and he realized he has been reincarnated in a world of sword and sorcery.
Realize he was reincarnated to isekai world, he resolves to become successful in his new life. He discarded his past identity for his new life as Rudeus Greyrat. He has a mother who was a magician adventurer and a Father who was a powerful skilled swordsman adventurer. Born from both of skilled an adventurer makes him become a skilled magician boy who has a unique skill which can use magic without cast any spell. That’s why his parent calls a magician teacher for his training magic skill, her name Roxy Migurdia, a demon magician. After training for 2 years, Rudeus Greyrat started his adventure for the first time. The adventure a NEET magician in Isekai world.
